Mr. ‘loves Black & White photography’ indulging in colours? You know it. I am usually quite colourful myself. It has been a long time since I have seen a proper autumn, or a fall season. Out in the Canadian Rockies it is just not the same; and definitely not in Mexico. The Rockies can be beautiful in their own way, but all you get is yellow. And for only a few weeks. And it just happens way too early. Growing up in Ontario you get an abundance of colours, and autumn/fall is an actual season. I have been away for many may years. But now I find myself in a similar climate, with some similar weather, trees, and foliage. I think it will be nice to experience a proper autumn again. Although this time I won’t be standing on a rugby pitch in shorts during cold and rainy days. Okay, I will kind of miss that. One comment I did see often from expats in Mexico is that they actually miss the seasons, fall being one of them. Missing winter was not mentioned much, but spring got some mentions.
I also wanted to do a theme centered around all the ivy I was seeing in the city. So I will show more of that in Part II. However, one day I noticed one changing colours. So I thought I would hold off on the idea and try and see if there was a different way to capture the ivy. This theme would give me an excuse to step away from volunteering for a day or two and just take in some of the city in a more casual way. Sometimes you just have to go for a nice autumn walk when the weather is right for it. No doubt I will be the only one in shorts. Meh, when am I not different?
But for now, enjoy some of the seasonal colour and displays. So nice to see the way the harvest theme is portrayed around the city. Makes the sense of change in the seasons more pleasant.
